EGPI AD 2.20  LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1  Airport Regulations
  1. Aerodrome is not available to aircraft unable to communicate by radio.

  2. Use of Islay aerodrome is subject to standard Terms and Conditions of Use, which can be requested from the aerodrome.

2  Ground Movement
  1. Do not taxi or park aircraft on grassed areas adjacent to the Runways unless marshalled by Airport Staff.

  2. Link taxiway between Runway 12/30 and 07/25 closed to all aircraft.

3  CAT II/III Operations

4  Warnings
  1. No ground signals.

  2. Large flocks of geese are prevalent in the vicinity of the aerodrome between the months of October and March.

  3. Uncontrolled public road 700 M from start of TORA Runway 07.

  4. Grass areas are soft and unsafe. Poor load bearing characteristics may be found on the runway/taxiway strips and the area adjacent to the apron. Only marked taxiway to be used.

  5. Mobile obstructions in undershoot Runway 12, farm track east of Runway 30 threshold and uncontrolled public track northeast of Runway 12/30 (outside Islay AD boundary).

  6. Occasional kite flying takes place in Runway 12 undershoot especially outside aerodrome hours.

  7. HT cables on high ground rising to 358 FT AMSL at 1.5 NM east from ARP.

  8. Hill rising to 1612 FT AMSL to the east.

  9. Hill rising to 663 FT AMSL at 6.1 NM south from ARP.

  10. Hill rising to 761 FT AMSL at 6.9 NM northwest from ARP.

  11. Bird activity high on Runway 25 approach all year round with birds venturing down onto the Aerodrome on occasions.
